Hawaiian Word of the Day: Moʻopuna

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Our Hawaiian word of the day is moʻopuna meaning grandchild, or loved one.

The meaning of moʻopuna can be better understood when you split the word “moʻo” meaning succession and “puna” meaning to spring up.

The moʻopuna is the new life that comes from the original source or kupuna.
