Mark Carpenter returned to Hawaii News Now in 2020 as a news anchor/reporter after spending five years in the Bay Area.
During his time working as a sports director in the San Francisco market, Mark covered some of the country’s most significant sporting events, including two Super Bowls, four NBA Finals, Major League Baseball playoffs, a Stanley Cup final, the College Football National Championship, and the NCAA's March Madness basketball tournament.
Prior to leaving for the Bay Area, the Kamehameha Schools and University of Southern California graduate got his start in the news business at HNN, working his way through a variety of positions that included intern, associate producer, multimedia journalist, and sports anchor.
Mark is thrilled to be back home, excited to deliver stories from around the community, and is constantly searching for the best fresh poke spots around the state.
