Cody Heaster was born and raised in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Before joining the WLOX team in October 2023, Cody attended and graduated from D'Iberville High School in 2018. He would go on to spend the next two years at the MGCCC Jefferson Davis Campus before graduating and moving to Starkville to attend Mississippi State University. He would eventually move back home to the Coast, finishing up his academic career at the USM Gulf Park Campus with a bachelor’s degree in English.
When he’s not in the newsroom writing stories, you can usually find him out on the weekends shooting videos and gathering content!
Cody enjoys staying active, spending time with friends and family, watching football, and taking small road trips.
