HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Gentle to locally breezy trade winds will strengthen to breezy levels and expand Friday and persist through most of next week.

Shower coverage will fluctuate as areas of enhanced moisture moves through the state from east to west.

Generally, showers will typically favor windward and mauka locations with some spillage to leeward, particularly during the overnight into early morning hours.

Another area of enhanced tropical moisture is expected to move near the state Sunday into Tuesday of next week that could increase shower coverage, especially for the eastern half of the state.
