Hurricane season in the Pacific is on the horizon. Here’s what to look out for

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Hurricane Center was monitoring a disturbance in the eastern Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday.
Hurricane season in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans officially starts on June 1.
A weak low pressure system caught the eye of forecasters on Wednesday.

This low pressure system has an incredibly low chance of developing into a named storm, but serves as a reminder that the weather is starting to change.
Hurricanes and tropical storms will start developing over warmer waters more easily as we approach the summer months.
