HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tropical Storm Kenneth has mostly dissipated in the eastern North Pacific, far to the east of Hawaii.

The post-tropical cyclone encountered strong shear, a dry airmass and cool sea surface temperatures as steering winds pushed it north.

Forecasters said Kenneth’s remnants will have no impact on Hawaii weather.

The Hurricane Center said Kenneth is moving northward into an area of increasing shear, cooler sea surface temperatures and drier atmospheric conditions, and is expected to weaken into a remnant low by Friday.

The tropical storm is not expected to have any impact on Hawaii weather.
