HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A sea of green flooded the streets of Waikiki on Sunday as residents and visitors alike gathered for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The route extended from Fort DeRussy Beach, down Kalakaua to Kapiolani Park.

“It’s just fantastic and it keeps growing more and more every year, which is great, I love it,” said reveler.

Another parade attendee said the event was emotional for him.

“Because it reminds me where I came from and you know it just shows how much people love the Irish people because they are beautiful people, they’re very laid back,” he said.
