(Hawaii News Now) - As an encore to the highly successful Sogetsu Ikebana Exhibition held in Spring 2011, Sensei Linda Hamasaki and her students will be assembling another stunning exhibit of flower arrangements in the style of Japanese flower arranging at Neiman Marcus Honolulu from September 20 – 22.

In contrast to the 2011 show which highlighted tropical flowers, this year's exhibit will showcase the use of non-conventional materials such as Neiman Marcus' black plastic hangers paired with natural materials which are manipulated into innovative forms.  Over 40 arrangements created by students working solo as well as in teams, will adorn the store at Ala Moana center.  One of the major highlights of the show will be a collection of 5 large arrangements leading down the aisle from the retailer's valet entrance which will be created using vases by Masuo Ojima, a master potter and artist from Los Angeles.

This year's exhibit is inspired by the latest fashion trends and colors of the season at NM Honolulu.

Exhibition hours:

Friday, September 20 from 10am to 8pm
Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 7pm
Sunday, September 22 from Noon to 4pm

Admission is free and open to the public.  For more information, call Neiman Marcus at 951-8887.
