KAILUA KONA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A retired Hawaii Island police commander has been sentenced to court-ordered supervision for a domestic incident in Kailua Kona last year.

Former Hawaii County Assistant Police Chief Mitchell Kanehailua Junior was accused of violating a TRO by attempting to get into his ex-girlfriend’s home and trying to hit another woman who confronted him.

He pleaded no contest.
