As of Friday, election officials had received around 226,000 ballots, including mail-in and in-person votes.
The primary election in Hawaii is Saturday and voting by mail and in-person is already in full swing.
As of Thursday, about 211,000 people have already voted in the Hawaii primary election.
Turnout could be greater for the General Election however when the presidential race is on the ballot.
