HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With a little over a week to go for the Primary Election, the city’s Elections Division is reminding potential voters that the state’s paper voter registration deadline is Wednesday, July 31, 2024 ― though there are some back-up options available if you fail to turn in your application in time.

Voters should have already received their ballot in the mail.

Anyone who hasn’t received their ballot are urged to contact their County Elections Division to request a replacement ballot or visit a voter service center.

A pop-up service center at Kaneohe District Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The city has also opened its full-time Voter Service Center at Honolulu Hale and Kapolei Hale. Their hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Monday through Saturday.

Voters who miss the deadline may continue to register to vote online using the Online Voter Registration System. Individuals must be a U.S. Citizen, Hawaii resident, and be at least 18 years of age to register and vote.

Already registered and ready to vote? The city says the Voter Service Centers will be open on Primary Election Day — Saturday, Aug. 10. — from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters must be in line at a voter service center, or their voted ballots must be received by the deadline, not postmarked, to be counted.

The General Election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
