Stolen HECO van leads to police chase in Honolulu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A stolen Hawaiian Electric vehicle leads to a police chase in Honolulu Monday night, according to Honolulu Police Department officials.
HPD says a 39-year-old man took a HECO van when it was left unattended with the keys left inside around 4:30 p.m.
Officers eventually cornered the driver, Edward Demarco, at the Shell gas station on McCully Street just before 7 p.m.
He now faces charges including auto theft and resisting orders to stop.
The investigation is ongoing.
