HFD: Cause of fire that scorched Wahiawa home ruled as accidental

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Fire Department investigators have classified the cause of a blaze at a Wahiawa home on Tuesday as accidental.
Officials say flames originated from an electrical arc in an outlet in home’s carport.
Total damage, including the property, contents and vehicles, are estimated at over $260,000.
The fire started just before 7:30 Tuesday morning and was out about 40 minutes later.
No one was inside the house at the time.
